Practice Gear
Be prepared for practice by having good new running shoes. Even if you had new shoes for last track season, you need to get some new running shoes for fall cross country. If you have been doing summer training and completed about 300 miles or more on your shoes, they should be replaced for cross country season. You need good new padding in your shoes to avoid injury during the season.
Have extra clothes, shorts, socks, and a T-shirt packed in your bag each day. If it rains you need dry clothes for after your run.
Bring a long sleeved T shirt, sweats and sweatshirt as the fall gets cooler. You need to have an outer layer to put on after you run.
Water bottle
Race Gear/Uniforms
Uniforms will be issued at practice before the first meet. You will receive shorts, a singlet, and warmups for meet days.
Racing spikes can also be purchased to wear during meets. Spikes are not required, but can be purchased at the discretion of the athlete for improved traction and lighter weight during races.
